Measurements are normally done with digital plans using a mouse and video screen. The .PDF files are stored on hard drives in directories. Installed as an Excel add-in digital plan sets are linked to Excel sheets by users. Excel cells are used to store the measurements (linear or area quantities) as numbers. Inside the same cells is stored the graphic data of the data take-off. Quickmeasure can operate as a stand alone program without Excel. Pad digitizers with styluses can used for traditional paper blueprints.
